Dreaming the Same Dream
Two little girls so far apart, dreaming the same dream, we must do our part.
As little girls, they danced for hours, little did they know that it was for His great power. God was molding, mending, and directing their parents to keep them involved with dancing. Leotards, tap shoes, ballet shoes, jazz shoes, pointe shoes, costumes, costumes, and more costumes. Makeup, pearls, studs, hair pieces, buns, ponytails, and even long lashes. Two little girls so far apart, dreaming the same dream, we must do our part.
Going to school and making good grades. Playing outside with friends came second, cause they danced for hours in their rooms, in the hall, in the kitchen, in the driveway, in the backyard and sometimes the stairway. Little did they know, it was for His great power. Two little girls so far apart, dreaming the same dream, we must do our part.
So for years and years they heard the same thing. Tall straight legs, round those arms, put your shoulders down, suck in, tuck in, drop your hip, present the heel, point harder, stretch that back leg, get higher in your leaps, turn faster in your turns, be graceful with your arms, stop sitting in your battments, no water, keep dancing, I am tired too, now keep dancing.

Two little girls are now young ladies. Both married with two boys and one girl, now that’s amazing. The dream is still there, they must do their part. Two little girls, who danced all day, came face to face and met one great day. Two young ladies, now not so far apart, still dreaming the same dream, we must do our part.
Little did they know that they were part of a puzzle that God was putting together. Two young ladies now became great friends, still dreaming the same dream, we must do our part.
Someone said, “every great dream begins with a dreamer”. So they looked at each other and said our dream must come together. We have strength, the patience, and the passion to dance. Let’s open the doors and begin living the dream.

With much prayer, much fasting, much thinking, much seeking, God used his hands and finished the puzzle. On September 10, 2012, D&T Dance Studio became a living dream. They opened their doors to inspire young children to dance and follow their own dreams. This is a place for the arts and there are no small dreams at 3921 Kecoughtan Road, Hampton, Virginia 23669.
